Notifications and instant e-mails

What the bell shows, what DOXIO notifies you about, who receives which notification and how to choose what is e-mailed to you right away.

On this page

The bell in the top bar collects everything that concerns you: client uploads and replies, mentions in comments, cards assigned to you, signed or declined documents, overdue requests and the outcome of sending to ABRA Flexi or of AI extraction. Every team member sees only their own notifications, and only for the organization they are currently signed in to.

The bell and the notification list#

The number on the bell is the count of unread notifications ("99+" from 100 up). The list refreshes on its own every minute and as soon as you return to the browser window.

  1. Click the bell at the top right. On a phone the list opens at full width below the bar.
  2. Unread notifications have a blue dot on the left.
  3. Clicking a notification marks it as read and opens what it is about – the card in a workspace, the Requests tab, the document or its Document data.
  4. Mark all as read clears the counter at once.
  5. Load older notifications with Load older at the end of the list.

Close the list with Esc or by clicking outside it.

You are never notified about your own action. A workspace notification only goes to people who can see the workspace – if the organization turned on that members only see assigned workspaces, other members get nothing about it (see Team and roles).

Instant e-mails#

Besides the bell, DOXIO can e-mail you about selected events as soon as they happen. Each member sets this for themselves, separately in each organization.

  1. In Instant e-mails, tick what you want an e-mail about.
  2. Click Save e-mails.

The e-mail contains only a short description and a link into DOXIO, never files. It arrives in the language set in your account.

E-mails about a signed or declined document always arrive – the signing flow sends them and they cannot be turned off. The daily or weekly overview is set on the same page under Summary email.

How long notifications are kept#

DOXIO deletes notifications older than 180 days on its own. An organization data export (owner or admin) contains your own notifications from that organization in notifications.json; other members' notifications are not included.
